The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I never thought I would like this movie as much as I did.  It kept me on the edge of my seat, not because it was scary but because I was anxious to know what would happen next. I wasn’t familiar with the plot or its original version so I went not knowing what it would be about. I assumed based on the title “The girl with a dragon tattoo” that it would be about tattoos and dragons, but it was pleasantly surprised. The tattoo is a metaphor of Lisbeth ,the heroine of the story, for whom you root for since the moment you see her on the screen. She’s considered different because she wears dark clothes, has piercings, very dark gothic hair style and bleached eyebrows that would make anyone scare of her; yet when I saw her on the screen I wanted to be her friend. With her silent movements and facial expressions I knew that she had suffered yet she finds a way to survive, no matter what she does, right or wrong everyone roots for her. Mikael, the journalists who is hired to solve a murder that occurred 40 years ago brings the experience to this odd pair that come together like puzzle pieces joined together to solve the crime.
